Southdowns Manor welcomed Alice and the Mad hatter for tea.
“They are so perfect Adam, completely perfect. I was in tears in a second. I was a mix of ugly crying and laughing. You were born to do this job!!!’
Katrina and Patrick were amazing from first enquiry 18 months previous, all the way through to late evening on their special day. They are so generous. I was given a free room the night before by them at the venue and was even treated to a delicious Greek Meze dinner that evening. It’s so nice to wake up at the venue when you are a very busy photographer.
Alice made wonderland.
Katrina absolutely loves Alice in Wonderland if you couldn’t tell already. She painstakingly created everything. Her creativity, vision and craft skills really are next level! She was busy until late the night before fabricating final pieces of the jigsaw; so to speak. Even the cake was made by Katrina leading up to the wedding. The kids all had their own little sprinkling of Alice in wonderland magic dust from Kat too as you’ll see from my photos.
One sunny day out of 30. Whats the chances.
How lucky were we with the weather that day. We have had storms left right and centre and the most rain in a February for sometime. Unreal.
The winter sun really did bring out the best of this stunning venue in the middle of the Southdowns. Southdowns Manor is a venue i had not been to before and i loved the vibe here. The gorgeous outdoor space and gardens had many options for me to scratch my creative itch. The inside space was perfect to try and capture real moments in natural light. I tend to only use my flashes on the dance floor so this helped.
Katrina + Patrick
Right, let’s get down to the nitty gritty!! I love to try and tell a unique story at each wedding. When i create a blog i want to include the photos that capture the real moments of the day so you won’t see many details, shoes or cakes here. This was about Kat and Patrick.
