A Romantic Ceremony at The Sherborne Abbey followed by a marquee wedding.

Jade and Tom, a super cute couple. I have known Jade and her family most of my adult life, so when Jade and Tom approached me to shoot there wedding day I was blown away.  Beyond excitable.

    A beautiful marquee wedding.

So the plan was to have the ceremony at the Sherborne Abbey, followed by reception drinks, food and a serious party back at Tom’s Dad’s house near Langport in a marquee. Then Tom explained the design of the marquee and what they were going to decorate it with. The plans sounded incredible. The day before I was invited over for a bbq and I had a quick scout out and prep for the next day. Nothing could quite prepare me for the size of the marquee. Monstrous was an understatement. Sofa’s, a big dance floor, extra-long large tables for the wedding reception, lined with beautiful flowers and foliage everywhere.

    So, Jade and Tom…….

Anyone that has read my blogs before will know I do things slightly differently. I could waffle on about how amazing the day was but I like my photos to tell the story and hopefully, they show the emotion felt on the day. Instead, here is a little about Jade and Tom.

So how did you guys first meet??

Over a pizza one Sunday. Tom was texting a friend of Jade’s and suggested us meeting up, so we did.

How did he pop the question? Anywhere nice?

Up a mountain skiing. Tom was incredibly nervous, shaking slightly, all caught on camera.

It was a clear day with views all the way across the mountains. Perfect!!

What theme or style was your inspiration for your wedding?

Simple, green and white and classic.

What made you guys choose “Your Song” by Elton John for your first dance song?

Just the words are special to us. Also was Jade’s parent’s 1st dance song.

Any tips for future bride and grooms planning their big day?

Yes, just do what you want as it’s about you and nobody else.

    Finally, where’s the honeymoon?

    Bali, Sumba, Bali, and Dubai.
