The Secret Garden, Kent. Claire and Sam.

Glistening sunshine, a match made in heaven and Aperol spritz on tap.

The Secret Garden Wedding Venue in Kent is a beautiful place for couples who want a romantic and private setting for their special day. It's hidden away in the beautiful Kent countryside and has lovely gardens, flowers, and stone paths that make it perfect for weddings. Claire and Sam got super lucky with the weather and the sun shone over the Secret Garden all day and into the evening. The outdoor ceremony was bright and floral. The sunset didn’t disappoint either, as we meandered around the gardens whilst the setting sun provided ample frames for me to shoot.

So Claire and Sam. What can I say about these two amazing people? I mean you could say I compliment all of my couples like this, sure. But sometimes you meet fellow humans and you just click. C+S booked a pre-shoot with me as you can see below, and we met for a drink in London. Two pints of craft beer, a few glasses of champagne for Claire, and hours of chat flew by. We had such fun, and for a couple that were nervous about having their photos taken, well look at them, they rocked!!

Then it was their big day back in Kent and The Secret Garden. It was like coming to visit old friends. That’s the beauty of Pre-shoots. I met Claire at bridal prep in the fabulous Pretty Prep Studios, which accommodates your bridal party in a lovely lit private studio for the perfect start to your day. The glorious and super-talented Jess Hawkins was there doing the makeup for the morning before we all headed to TSG.

I approached the lush gardens which were filled with all the guests and gave Sam a big hug and hello whilst he waited there nervously. Claire soon arrived and the ceremony unfolded. They said “I DO” and proceeded away from the cheering guests to grab their first Aperol of the day. Then a quick dash down the confetti run before all the hugs and kisses to drinks in the courtyard beneath the baking sun.

We did some group shots, some more personal ones and a few portraits before sitting for dinner and speeches. It was then time for some sunset portraits whilst the light was epic. They were obviously pros by this point and we flew threw them and got back with plenty of time for the cake-cutting and first dance. They then danced the night away with family and friends.
